These newsgroups are for peer-to-peer support, not for advertising.

If your product were free, it might (and I repeat might) be acceptable to
post a brief announcement (assuming you're a regular contributor to the
newsgroups). It would also be appropriate to mention your product if someone
were to ask a question about Obfuscation. Simply posting an advertisement is
not appropriate.

I do not want to make controversy but only one consideration! I attend the
NG from time little and I do not know that what well to make!

I have only made what they make all. the difference is that I have been
labeled like "Spam".

*only* for example (I invite to you to watch...more under in this
NG=microsoft.public.dotnet.framework):

"the law must be equal for all". a lot had for opportune acquaintance and I
make excuses myself if I have hit your susceptibility.

Well sorry but i agree with mr Steele

in a newsgroup like the DEVX forums in wich i am also active , i would ask
for a moderation to remove such a post

If someone invites you it is okay to mention your product ,,, this can be
seen in the context of the newsgroups if someone is asking how to obfuscate
his program source it is okay for you to answer that you have a commercial
solution , and paste a link to your website in the thread .

however ,,, starting a new topic with the mentioning of your product will
anoy a lot of people ,,, and will probably resolve in negative publicity
,,, we have in our newgroup a person who has made a code converter C# to
VB.Net etc etc etc    when someone has a question regarding this he will
show the converted code and pastes a link to his instant converter ,,, in my
opinion this is contributing to the comunity and totally acceptable ,,, what
you do is like those people who are calling me almost every day during
dinner time to sell me something ,,,, it is anoying and will result in me
noticing who anoy`s me and i will never buy at those companies ..... in
other words we did not ask you ,to sell us something  and that is a reall
differnce ...

just my 2 euro cents

1) from my point of view, instead, if I have found a "simple method" in
order to block the decompilation of .net assemblies, this is an ulterior
contribution to the community...*for the protection of our code* ;-) I at
least am trying to make something! I do not endure without to make nothing!
to the end I use mine obfusdcator for the protection of my programs
2) it begins makes me to laugh this fury on mine post
3) nobody forces to you to acquire from me! there are always the others best
products...
4) thanks in order to have made to know your point of view to me

it would be appealed to to me to discuss better with you about the
techniques than protection. I have fear to begin a new one thread... I do
not want more accused being than Spam!

hello anonymous,
plonked? yes! with people like you!

it could be said you have mistaken for this reason without to put Spam
labels. now I waited for to see me label Spam to all the next messages of
[announce]. the law is equal for all. if you say to me as calls you I
perceive you when a new message exits!

it is said: "you do not have to discuss with one stupid. other people cannot
notice the difference" !
