Basically, I'm trying to do a web site with the UIP, but have run into the
back button problem (ie it screws things up bad) -  looked on the net, and
found other people who have the same problem, but no one seems to have
posted a solution - people just post things like "it checks what page you
are on" and "here's the bit of code that forces it to the current page"...
Ok - assume I know how the UIP works, how do I, without rewriting it, make
it useable?

it seems a complete deal breaker... I don't see how anyone could possibly
build a commercial web site with it?   You'd have to tell people "oh by the
way, don't click the back button, it'll cause our application to get
confused, and you won't actually be where you think you are" ...  has anyone
EVER used it in a professional environment?

So - my specific question - is there any way [without modifying the UIP] of
being in a situation where a user can click back on the web site, go back to
the previous page, and the program will work as expected?

I'm so close to chucking the UIP, because it really isn't making life much
easier, that if the answer is "No", then it is out of our solution tomorrow!

thanx,
Darren

Darren, I wasn't able to address this issue without modifying the UIP. I
have uploaded the modified source files that appear to work in our
situation. These modified files can be found on the GotDotNet.Com workspace
for the UIP application block:

I also provided a Message board posting:

Hope this helps!
