Hello Folks,

I've a big problem. I developed a .NET website with Serviced Components and
Com+ Vb6. This apps are running in a windows xp sp2 very well.

I did install this in a windows 2000 but I am many problems:
- The GAC in win2K are diferente (there is only one assembly directory)
- The server process could not be started because the configured identity is
incorrect.  Check the username and password. (Exception from HRESULT:
0x8000401A)
- Some serviced components, when are running, displaying a errors

I didn't know if I need install some .NET Tool or update. Because windows
2000 has a old versions of IIS and MSDTC.

Well, it's all.

thanks all help.

bye.

Hello Luiz,

The GAC is provided from the framework, so there must no be an issue.

The "identity incorrect" error means that the configured identity of
the COM+ is wrong. Change the username/password of the identity in
order to work.

You should just install .NET 2.

Regards,
Tasos

Thanks Tasos for your reply.

About the error, I configured the com+ and it's all right.

Thanks!

Luiz
