I'm trying to connect to a DB and retrieve
some data. The DB is a file called
deebee.sdf. Now, i have the following
relevant lines in the code.

 using System.Data;
 using System.Linq;
 ...
 DataContext db
    = new DataContext (@"C:\deebbee.sdf");

THe compiler doesn't like it and that's no
surprise as the IntelliSence wasn't
suggesting it either.

What i'd like to get to know is why. At
some page i saw
 using System.Data.Linq;
as well, but that's a non-existing
namespace, the compiler revieled.

Any thoughts?

It sounds like you haven't referenced System.Data.Linq.dll.

No, indeed, i have not.
Now, that i have done so, it seems to be
hiding all the bugs and problems (an act
sometimes refered to as "working") pretty
well. Thanks for the help!
