Hi All,

When I publish an application using C# express there is an option to
have the app look to a URL for updates.

What files are needed in the directory that would be used to update?
Just the updated version of the .cs file(s)?

Thanks for any help!

Do you mean the clickOne app or smart client app?

Not sure. I pretty much click through the defaults in the wizard after
pointing to a folder to publish it to. (Its never as easy as it should
be!)

go here:
http://www.thecodeproject.com

and do a search for application updater block.

It requires the use of a manifest file on the server, which contains
version information.

If he is using click one deploy, just need to give the url to the users. The
app will check the web site everytime.

Definately be using the ClickOnce. Do I need to publish a version to
the folder that will hold the updates or keep the C# Express solutions
files in there?

Thanks again for the help.

Just click the publish again after your build.
