Repeater HeaderItem bind

I would like to bind some fields in a Repeater components
HeaderTemplate.
I have no problems with using ItemTemplate and realise the
HeaderTemplate cannot be directly bound (I guess its being rendered
before I actually select my data).

Anyone else though of a way round this problem?
