I wanted to install the MS Visual 2005 Express Edition and selected a folder
on my (large) D: partition.

Much to my surprise the installation programm told me that it requires
on C: 1,4 GB (!) space. On D: only 60 MB

Hey, what is this for a crap?

If I say "Install on D:" it should install it there.
My C: partition has only 900 MB free

Is there a way to completely install it on D: ?

Welcome to the club :)
Fortunately I was not responsible for installing it on our systems... our
sysadmins freaked out since they had to increase the size of the c:
partition... (well, actually the size of the system partition, not
necessarily c: I guess)
