I just got my copy of VS 2005 and getting ready to install it but I am not
sure if the installation of VS 2005 is going to override my 2003
installation.
Ideally, I would like to have the two versions running at the same time and
slowly upgrade my 2003 apps to 2005. Anybody knows if by installing the VS
2005 will erase my 2003 version?
One more thing, I *upgrading*, this is not a full version of VS 2005 which
is why I am afraid it will remove my old 2003 version.

Well, if you are upgrading the product then I don't think there is any
doubt that VS.NET 2003 will be removed. I upgraded by SQL 2000 to 2005
and it removed 2000 and replaced it with 2005.
You chose to upgrade the software since its much cheaper. If you want
the full version then Microsoft wants you to purchase it. However, the
full version does install side by side with VS.NET 2003 so you can run
both of them the same time using this senario.

Hi,
They will run side by side

It won't - you can keep different versions of .NET as well as VS on the
same machine. Currently on a Virtual PC machine i have .Net 1.1, .NET
2.0, VS Express for c#, VS 2003, VS 2005 and they all co-work just fine
Hope it helped,
