When right clicking on my Component Services Application, and choosing to
Start the application, I get the following error:
"an error occurred while processing the last operation"
"Error code 800401E4 - Invalid syntax"
"The event log may contain additional troubleshooting information" (however,
if it did, I couldn't find it)

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Elmo,

Check my post titled 'Error code 800401E4 - Invalid syntax' on 14 Oct 2005.
MS support fixed it for me.
