I know it was distributed at mdc...
for those who could not attend... where will the next distribution
point/date be?

MSDN? beta.microsoft.com? mdc dvd for sale?

The Whidbey Preview Release was posted yesterday to MSDN Subscribers download. I don't think it's available publicly, at least not yet. It is being released as a DVD .iso image only, and is about 2.6 GB for the download

Unfortunately, I don't have a test machine to play with it right now, but I might in the near future... =
