Merge Repl, Firewall, Proxy

I am sucessfully using merge replication between SQL Mobile and SQL
Server 2000 (using windows authentication for access to the data and
to get access to the sqlcesa.dll file.

The SQL Server 2000 machine is using IIS6.  Internet access is
provided through a firewall/adsl modem router arrangement and I can
sucessfully merge between a laptop running outside of my network that
connects to the internet by normal means (i.e. via an adsl
connection).

My problem is that some laptops outside of the network connect to the
internet via a corporate network (that uses a proxy for internet
access), these laptops fail to merge at all.

I am awaiting the exact error message as I write this, but will post
it when it is available.

Has anyone else had similar problems, does anyone know how to resolve
these issues?

Thanks,

Joseph

The only error I can get from the customer is "A request to send data
to the computer running IIS has failed. For more information, see
HRESULT", unfortunately they cannot provide me with the actual
HRESULT.

Anybody got any ideas from this?

Joseph
