I get a the following error trying to deoply any Pocket PC solution
under VS.NET 2005

Error    1    Class not registered    Device Connectivity Component

Telling me what component needs registering would be useful. Cannot
find any solution to this.

Have reinstalled VS.NET, have re installed Active Sync

I can connect to my Pocket PC and browse folders under explorer etc...

I had recently gone from ActiveSync 4.0 back to ActiveSycn 3.8 (had to
manually remove rapi.dll and ceutil.dll) to geet ActiveSync 3.8 to
work with the Pocket PC 2003 device I am currently using to allow me
to deploy to the handheld. I have also installed Compact Framework
SP2.  Now I get this Class not registered error.

Any body any idea what class I need to register? seen as though Visual
Studio cant be bothered to tell me what  component i need to
register... oh so useful (Thanks for that Bill!!!!!!!!)

Thanks.

Try upgrading to ActiveSync 4.5.  I had similiar issues on 4, but they seem
to be corrected in 4.5

Try registering MSXML6.dll and MSXML4.dll.
