I am trying to add a datasource using Data - Add DataSource and then going
thru the "wizard", selecting my .sdf file off of my mobile device using
Activesync, when I go to Test Connection, I am getting:
Unable to connect to or authenticate SQL Server Mobile Edition connection
through Microsoft Activesync. Make sure your device is properly connected to
this computer.

I am syncing fine, deploying fine.
vs 2005, win2k, iPaq hx2790 wm5

Any ideas?
Thanks

I just tried this - connected from VS2005 to an iPaq4355 PPC2003
and it did work, but the Test Connection function took almost 3 minutes
to complete.  At the conclusion of the process, I noticed that the
ActiveSync
new partnership sound (not the dialog, just the sound) plays.

Are you sure you have a good partnership with your device?  I used a
Guest Partnership and made sure my firewall has necessary exceptions
granted for all of the ActiveSync networking features.

I deleted all partnerships / connections thru activesync on my pc and
device. I then repartnered and the same thing happens. No local firewall.
Any other ideas?
Thanks
