Hi NG,
one of my customers has problems running ActiveSync when
OpenNETCF.Desktop.Communication.dll is installed on his PC.
There is an app written in VB.Net using the following DLLs:
OpenNETCF.Desktop.Communication.dll
Interop.ADOX.dll
Interop.JRO.dll
Interop.Microsoft.Office.Core.dll
Interop.VBIDE.dll

When this app is installed ActiveSync can not operate properly.
Any ideas?

Thanks Werner

"doesn't operate properly" isn't going to be of any help to anyone.  What
does it do and why is it wrong?  What does this VB.NET application do?

Thank you for answering.

The customer sent me the following information:
PC
Even though the symbol is green, he can not bring the ActiveSync window into
the foreground of the desktop.
PPC
The state of ActiveSync remains "connecting" instead of "connected", though
the PC shows "connected".
When moving the mouse pointer over the green symbol, there is a yellow flag.

Any idea?

Thank you
Werner

That sounds like an ActiveSync problem, with a firewall, VPN, virus scanner
or something of that nature.  I see no connection there with some random
VB.NET program that doesn't appear to even be running!

What I forgot:

ActiveSync 3.8
Windows Mobile 2002

Well, that's different.  I think that you should take this up in the
ActiveSync group, microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync, after having the
customer verify that removing the VB.NET application doesn't matter.  If it
does matter, you *have* to tell us exactly what it does!
