Almost correct. All PPC devices since PPC 2002 are ARM based - though they
don't have to be Intel. Intel != ARM. Intel also makes x86. Several
vendors also make ARM-core processors - many of which are in WM devices.

Thanks Chris. x86 is not being shipped with the Pocket PC SDK and I thought
there were no x86 based PPC's on the market at this time. Is this assumption
correct?

Thats correct, the only reason X86 shipped with older Pocket PC SDKs was for
the previous generation of emulators - no real Windows Mobile devices have
ever been X86 based.

Yes ALL Pocket PCs are based on ARM processors as of 2002 as Chris
mentioned. I believe the reason he mentioned x86 at all is take issue with
your use of the phrase "Intel ARM" and claiming that is the only processor
supported by VS2005. Intel is *NOT* ARM. ARM is a separate company that OWNS
the ARM name and processor core IP. Intel, acquired the StrongARM processor
(an *implementation* of the ARM CPU core) from DEC many years ago and
morphed that into what has become the XScale line of processors. There are
Many other companies, such as Freescale and Samsung that incorporate ARM
cores into their Processors and those are also supported by Windows Mobile.

Thanks for the great detail on the ARM processor Steve.
