hi ,

Where can we physically see gacutil.exe for dotnet2.0 version ?

i saw in my machine and its not appearing in
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727.

Is this gacutil.exe present in some other folder for .Net 2.0 ?

thanks

I think it comes with VS 2005.

Sujith ,
Thanks!!
It comes with VS2005, but where is the Physical location of the Gacutil.exe
?
if you see in 1.1 its evidentlly present under the Framework folder.
But in 2.0 where is it present ?

Thanks
Senthil

Since it's part of 'Studio and /not/ part of the Framework (though I
don't /pretend/ to understand why not) it'll be somewhere like

<drive>\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\SDK\v2.0\Bin

Err it has nothing to do with VS2005.  It's actually in the SDK.

But oddly in the VS2005 folder... 99% of our machines don't have VS2005
and they all have gacutil.

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\SDK\v2.0\Bin

If you install the SDK as part of VS 2005 that's where it goes. Anyway
you're right, it's the FW SDK and not in the Redist.
