No, to be fair, I'm a big Grimes fan. And I agree with many of the points in
his article, which is why I now use C# instead of VB.NET. However, an attack
on one of the .NET languages does not an indictment of .NET make. As for his
more general complaints about .NET, well he may well be right, but my
*opinion* is that he is not.Opinions, one way or the other do not create
fact.

I will say that I have such a large respect for Mr. Grimes that I did not
dismiss his concerns out of hand, and I still keep them in mind. I may not
agree with his conclusions, but I think we'd all agree that he's entitled to
them, and more particularly that his stature requires that we take them
seriously. That said, I read his articles, reconsidered my positions and
came away with the *opinion* that he's wrong.

But that's me...
