Backing up folders

What are my options for backing up folders to a CD. I do not have ROXIO.
I am running XP. Thanks

Roxio is only one of many burn software alternatives available. What
software do you intend to use? That will drive the techniques available. For
example, I use Nero. The obvious option is to create a "Data CD".
