HI!
I am having a hard time getting on the same page with our IT department
installing Visual Studio.Net 2003. Due to HDD limitations I asked them to not
install MSDN on the systems and they say it is impossible to NOT install MSDN
during the installation process. They have an image stored for these systems
and push it up to update software installs but there is no room left to get
the MSDN installed (though it keeps trying).

Question: During a VS.Net 2003 install, isn't it an option on whether to
install the MSDN library, and that I can choose not to install it? It is out
of my hands as I have no CD's to verify it but I cannot believe that MSDN
needs to be installed as part of installing .Net.

Thank you!

Absolutely!
When the Visual Studio install ends, there is a separate step for installing
the documentation, which can be ignored by electing to end the installation
process.
I know this for a fact because our support staff installed VS2003 on several
classrooms of PC's *without* the MSDN documentation against the wishes of
the faculty and had to go back and add it later.
