Hi
Wonder if anyone could help. I'm trying to work out if we need .NET 3.5 on
both our main server (Active Directory / PDC) as well as our Intranet server
(.NET3.5, sql, etc).
Basically, we have the main server, and our Intranet (located on a different
server) performs Active Directory lookups and other stuff based on the main
server.
We're currently planning the next build of the Intranet, and would like to
use .NET 3.5, LINQ, AJAX, etc.
What I'd liek to know... if the new version of the Intranet is running .NET
3.5 and performing AD lookups, does .NET 3.5 need to be installed on both
servers, or just the Intranet one?
Thanks,
Dan

If AD lookups are your sole issue, I would say no to installing .NET on the
PDC.

Looks like you won't run .NET code on your PDC so there is no need to have
.NET on your PDC...

From your description, .NET 3.5 would not need to be installed on the other
server...
