How is this usually implemented in a program ? Do you use a web service or just a normal asp or html connection and not display the page ? I know nothing, but the way I see it is you : (a) Go somewhere (b) Authenticate somehow (c) Get a reply giving new version and address of update (d) Download the update and install Hello Ian, Look at Update Application Block http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms978574.aspx usually it's webservice.
