How do I make Xhtml 1.0 strict or Xhtml 1.1 strict appear in the
Visual Studio 2005 dropdown?

How do I add a Xhtml 1.0 strict to the dropdown in visual studio 2005?
I have used the default selection XHTML 1.0 Transistional.

I have added <xhtmlConformance mode="Strict" />
in the web.config.

But I cant find a way to set this in the dropdown.

I am building a brand new web applicaiton. Even though Accessiblity is
not a requirement I just want to follow the web standards for XHTML. I
am wondering why XHTML 1.0 transtional is the default setting in VS
2005 and not even having an option for strict. Is there any reason why
not strict?

probably because no browser supports xhtml 1.0 strict, though the next
release of Firefox is scheduled to.

xhtml 1.0 Transistional is mostly compatible with html 4.01, though even
IE 7.0 does not fully support html 4.01 much less xhtml 1.0 transitional.
