Store Locator Feature? Distance between to Zip codes??

I have access to a function that will return the following:

Latitude Fixed length ASCII 7 characters: nn.nnnn
Longitude Variable length ASCII 8 or 9 characters: nnn.nnnn, in
degrees

given a zip code.

Would anybody know.. how can I use this to calculate the distance
between two zip code?

Nothing to do with ASP.NET per se...
