Hi,

I just replaced .NET framework 2.0 over .NET framework 2.0 beta and suddenly
my VS 2005 beta doesn't work anymore.
Anyone else experienced the same issue.

Thanks
Christian

VS 2005 beta can only run on its version of the .net framework.

If you installed the .Net Framework release version 2.0.50727.42,
you'll need VS.NET 2005 version 8.0.50727.42 (the release version).

...or uninstall the release version, and reinstall whatever
.net framework beta version you had before ( dotnetfx.exe )

Then, the VS.NET beta you have will work again.

Beta runs on beta. RC runs on RC and RTM runs on RTM.

At this point in time, you will have to uninstall the RTM version of the
Framework and reinstall the beta, if you want to continue working with beta.
The best option, if you have access, is to completely delete everything and
start all over with RTM.
