Hello,

i am trying to open an old project of mine and i get the error:
'The web server reported the following error when attempting to create or
open the web project located at the following URL:........   HTTP/1.1 500
Internal Server Error'

Does anyone have any idea what does this error mean and how can i get rid of
it?

I am sure the project location is correct and all the project files are
present

Thanks in advance
Regards
Ishan

You may need to go into IIS and register/start the project.  I had to do
this when I copied one project from one PC to another PC.

I have solved all project opening problems by fixing project and solution
paths in[projectname].webinfo file and [solutionname].sln file ny using
Notepad.

But if you have already checked locations that is probably not the problem
in your case.
