WSE Timestamp

I have a problem with WSE Timestamp.

I'm using certificates and the web sevice code is installed on Windows 2003
sp1.

When using the default values timeToleranceInSeconds=300 everything is ok.
The buffer is +- 5 minutes from the creation of the message.

But when I change timeToleranceInSeconds=86400 the message is only valide 24H
in the future, not 24H back in time. The limit back in time is still 5
minutes (eg -300, + 86400)

I've also changed defaultTtlInSeconds=86400

Should it work this way or have I missed something? I get the error msg "An
error was discovered processing the <Security> header", not "Message expired"

Best regards
Martin

Hi Martin,

What version of WSE are you using (including SP) - I'm sure this was
fixed in WSE 2.0 SP2ish.

I'm using WSE 2.0 with SP3.
Is this a bug in previous versions?

I remember trying to solve a similar problem myself some months back
and reading that the one way time thing was a bug that had been fixed.

Luckily I was using the 'fixed' version and didn't run into the
problem. Maybe I've dreamed that though...

I'll look into it for you

Thanks. Appreciate your help.

It's stranged that I don't find any threads about this problem in other
discussion groups.
