ASP.net authentication from external LDAP server

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how I can do user authentication using IIS and
asp.net 2.0 from a host that's not in a domain?
Could you provide a working example. Thanks a lot. I'm getting really
confused with this.

Do you want to do forms authentication?  Did you look at the
ActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider?
