If I start a new Pocket PC project, I see no toolbox items enabled in the
toolbox list.
What is wrong? How to solve this?

I had the same. Figured out that this was because I had the VS2005
beta installed and the uninstall was not quite complete. I used
vs_uninst_betas.exe which fixed my problem.

If you are using the Standard edition, you have to install the SDK.
