where to find instructions on how to license a custom server control

It's on MSDN "How to: License Components and Controls"

But as an ASP.NET control developer - I hope you'll have a copy of
Kothari and Datye's book "Developing Microsoft ASP.NET server controls
and components" - see chapter 17.
I know it's written before ASP.NET 2.0 but it is still very relevant.
